E-Safety is an extremely important part of our curriculum and we endeavour to do all we can to ensure children can navigate their online journey safely. Please find below links to some guidance you may find useful when helping your child with their online experiences.

Urmston Primary School is totally committed to safeguarding children and to a culture of vigilance.  Safeguarding is core to our work, not an ‘add-on’ and E-Safety is an important part of keeping children safe and is embedded into the MGL curriculum we follow and in having e-safety events and workshops.

Within school, we have measures in place, which are monitored both internally and externally to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any E-Safety incidents are recorded and managed in accordance with school policies. E-Safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online. Quite often e-safety incidents happen at home and can spill over into school - in such cases we work closely with families to ensure that they are aware of their child's online habits and the impact it can have on both their relationships, and their safety.

However, E Safety is just important within the home as well as in school and this page aims to provide useful guidance to parents and signposts to relevant websites. Please let us know if you come across other useful sites so that we can continue to develop the information we provide to support parents.
